The National Museum of Art, Osaka
The museum opened in 1977 with the aim of collecting and exhibiting works, mainly contemporary art, and was newly built in 2004. The design of the building evokes the vitality of bamboo and the development and growth of contemporary art, and it has become a new cultural hub in the historic and cultural town of Nakanoshima.

Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street
Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street is the longest shopping street in Japan. Located at JR Tenma Station, one stop from JR Osaka Station, it stretches 2.6km from north to south and is packed with about 600 stores. It is a popular spot in Osaka, just like Umeda and Minami.

Karahori Shopping Street
This shopping street stretches from east to west for about 800m, from Matsuyamachi-suji to Tanimachi-suji to Kamimachi-suji. In the surrounding area, buildings and ruins of tenement houses from the early Showa period remain, and it is fun to stroll up and down the gentle slopes.

Tsunami and High Wave Station
This is an information base where visitors can learn about the dangers of tsunamis and high tides through a simulated tsunami experience using photos, video and sound of storm surge damage, and acquire correct knowledge on how to protect themselves from their fierce power, including evacuation methods.
