From Wednesday, July 1st, a giant tapestry of the ukiyo-e print "Naniwa Tenman Matsuri" will be displayed outdoors at Hachikenya-hama, the stage for the Tenjin Matsuri boat procession, a festival of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine.

The Water City Osaka Consortium has created a woodblock print depicting the Tenjin Festival, a symbol of Osaka, the city of water, titled "Naniwa Tenman Festival" (by Gountei Sadahide).)3 meters vertically, width5.8Printed as a giant tapestry measuring meter in size, for July when the Tenjin Festival boat procession takes place.25Sun(Saturday)For the entire month of July, the artwork will be displayed along the Hachikenya-hama promenade, the stage for the boat procession. The aim is to enhance the festive atmosphere of the Tenjin Festival through the exhibition, and to help people recognize and appreciate that Osaka is a city of water.
